We are excited to announce the inaugural Derwent Valley Tasmanian Wild Food Festival.
This event will bring together food-and-fun-lovers from all over Tasmania (and hopefully some offshore visitors too) to experience and celebrate Tasmanian foods that are harvested and caught in the wild.
We have a fantastic line-up of food, beverages and entertainment on offer - everything from native Tassie berries, to new season Leatherwood honey, gourmet trout and eel, to grubs and choc-coated insects and much much more - all offered by local Tasmanian community groups or businesses.
Wild beers, weed salads and plenty of vegetarian, vegan and gluten free choices will be available too.
We're also putting together a program of live entertainment and some other fun and interesting activities, to complete a very satisfying day out.
All the action takes place on our beautiful Forest Secrets site by the Tyenna River, on Sunday March 19th, from 10 AM to 4 PM. That's a 60 minute drive from Hobart (see map below), and we encourage visitors to carpool where possible.
